She has been working on the issues of Environment, Child Rights and other subjects.
Manika has joined the PPF in July 2018, as a Researcher. She has authored a monograph on E-Waste Management: Policy Analysis and Implementation, an independent initiative of PPF to critically examine the reverse logistics and implementation of policies and programmes to manage E-waste with a focus on Delhi/NCR region and has also been an active member of the research team studying the Implementation of Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012 in association with Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR). She has written articles on various subjects of her research interests such as E-waste and Circular Economy, status of woman safety in Delhi/NCR, Invisible labour of Indian woman, Public Health spending and dynamics of digital economy. Manika holds a Master’s degree in Economics from TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi. She completed her Bachelors in Economics from Delhi University, New Delhi. Prior to joining PPF, she was an intern Consultant with Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Ministry of Home Affairs in association with Vision India Foundation (VIF). She has also worked as a freelance research intern with private sector and academic institutes.
