The Policy Perspectives Foundation (PPF) was founded in 2005 as a non-profit and apolitical think-tank on matters of national interest. The organisation’s activities focus on complex and inter-connected challenges to internal peace, stability and development in India.

It promotes debates and dialogues with scholars, development practitioners, civil society, government organisations and other stakeholders, and implements training, research and advocacy programmes on issues of national interest. The activities of PPF broadly fall under three categories namely capacity building, generation of awareness and social resilience. The organisation draws its strength from its founding members who are experts in the domains of strategic affairs, internal security, sociology, communication, management and governance.

Objectives

Salient objectives of PPF extend to:
  • Promote and support debates and dialogues on matters of national interest.
  • Act as a one-stop destination for studies relating to management of internal security.
  • Promote social resilience through capacity building at the grass roots.
  • Undertake research and analysis of social and security issues affecting the nation.
  • Work with government and non-governmental organisations, civil society and academia to explore options for an integrated policy framework on social and security issues.

Legal Status

PPF is registered in Delhi under the Societies Registration Act (XXI) of 1860. Its registration number is S/54267 dated 29 November 2005. The organisation is also registered under Sections 12 A read with 12AA (1)(b) and 80G (5)(VI) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
