Given the geopolitical and strategic importance of the Gulf in the Indo-pacific region, the PPF organised a talk on 'Recent Developments in the Gulf’ at India International Centre, New Delhi. H.E. Dr Ahmad Al Banna, Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) to India, was the keynote speaker and the programme was chaired by Amb. Rajiv Dogra. With his wealth of experience in the Gulf region, Dr Banna provided an in depth analysis of close linkages between India and the UAE. He highlighted that the UAE,which was the centre of peace and stability in the region, shared close economic and socio-cultural relationship with India. Dr Banna emphatically reiterated UAE’s policy of embracing peace and condemned terrorism and violence. He advocated for dialogue and negotiations to resolve crises in various areas of the Gulf.
