A talk on the Indo-Nepal relations in the context of increasing Chinese influence in Nepal was organised by the organization in which Amb. Ranjit Rae explained the historical perspective and the current nuances of the relationship between the two countries. As close neighbours, India and Nepal shared longstanding civilisational, geographical, political, socio-cultural and economic ties along with people to people contacts but it that was coming under strain following the Chinese push to extend its area of strategic influence in the Himalayan kingdom.
