 An in-house discussion was organised under Chatham House Rule on the recent developments in Afghanistan to assess the resultant geopolitical implications and options available for India. Prominent experts who participated assessed the primary reasons that led to the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and the ground realities existing there. It was felt that no fixed conclusion could yet be drawn about the options available for India in the situation currently prevailing in Afghanistan.
