In the second round table on the topic “China-India relationship”, Prof Gautam Sen and Dr Omi Marwah continued the follow-up discussions.The focus of the deliberations was on developments in the areas of air and space capabilities of China. The panelists discussed ways and means to achieve a dynamically evolving strategic parity with China over the period 2020 to 2030 by developing policy options for India keeping in view the existing and planned capabilities of China in the areas of missile, military, civil aviation and space capabilities. Dr Marwah highlighted out of the box means and methods possibly available to protect India in the decade 2020 to 2030 from any negative interaction with China, given the substantial difference in the defense and economic capabilities of the two countries.
