About Events

An event was organised by the Foundation marking the online launch of the book “Engaging China: Indian Interests in Information Age” authored by Col (Retd) Pavithran Rajan.

The event was chaired by Prof. Akshay Aggarwal, former Director of School of Computer Science, University of Windsor. The event was also graced by an eminent panel of three speakers namely S/Shri Rajiv Jain, former Director of Intelligence Bureau, Satish Jha, Chairman National Technical Research Organisation and Lt. Gen. Deependra Singh Hooda, former GOC-in-C, Northern Command of the Indian Army.

The book approaches the subject from a multi-disciplinary point of view with descriptive text about first the history and then the geo-political relevance of the two nations and the world, their economics, ICT industry and warfare capabilities to give a coherent view of the existing issues. The discussions were appreciated for the specific policy recommendations that were made. The book focuses on India and examines the world order and our own evolution as a maturing democracy in a quest to stay relevant in modern technology dependent world. Significantly, the book which marks the formal entry of the PPF in publishing for general public, was well received by the readers.
