About Events

A round table conference was organized in collaboration with NIDM & VIF on 6th May, 2016. The objective of this conference was to highlight the need and importance of having a multi-level disaster response mechanism at state, district and block levels. The conference was inaugurated by Shri Kiren Rijiju MoS (Home). Besides participants from Nepal, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Gujarat, Bihar & Mizoram; experts & officials from National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), NIDM, NDRF, Defence Services, VIF, Fire Services, and National Service Scheme (NSS) participated in the event. The recommendations of this conference regarding strengthening response mechanism at all levels in the country were shared with govt.
