PPF Premises
India International Centre, New Delhi
Our organization has taken initiatives to focus complex and inter-connected challenges to internal peace, stability and development in India.
Radicalisation has always been a matter of concern for India which hosts the third largest Muslim population and has a near and extended neighbourhood where several major violent groups operate in the name of Islam. Activities of these groups have brought untold miseries to the people and destroyed and/or debilitated state structures in the region. PPF felt the need for a better understanding of the process of radicalisation amongst the Muslims in India to open the way for an informed strategy suitable to Indian environment and consolidate/strengthen its intrinsic quality.
The revolutionary shift in information and communication sector has brought about enormous changes in the way we organize our lives, economies, industries and institutions. One of the challenges is the massive amount of end of electronic products or ‘e-waste’. Explosive growth of electronic gadgets poses a serious and potent challenge of e-waste management and disposal. PPF provides useful insights on e-waste policy, processes and its implementation on ground in Delhi/NCR. PPF emphasizes effective collection & recycling system for e-waste and make it responsive to the pressing needs of dealing with hazardous waste.
Project Gargi is a research initiative on empowerment of women. It has certain unique components like coverage of rural parliamentary constituencies, as geographic units of study, that are represented by women parliamentarians and adoption of a framework of analysis that looks into women’s empowerment keeping in view the legislative intents and programmatic interventions.
The Policy Perspectives Foundation (PPF) was founded in 2005 as a non-profit and apolitical think-tank on matters of national interest. The organisation’s activities focus on complex and inter-connected challenges to internal peace, stability and development in India.
It promotes debates and dialogues with scholars, development practitioners, civil society, government organisations and other stakeholders, and implements training, research and advocacy programmes on issues of national interest. The activities of PPF broadly fall under three categories namely capacity building, generation of awareness and social resilience. The organisation draws its strength from its founding members who are experts in the domains of strategic affairs, internal security, sociology, communication, management and governance.
